J. Carson Evans - Partner

Carson is a Lexington native and a graduate of Lafayette High School and Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He has more than 30 years of company and agency insurance experience. He is an alum of Leadership Lexington, a member of Second Presbyterian Church, the Rotary Club of Lexington, and the Kentucky Civil War Roundtable. He and his wife, Lida, have three children, Joe, Anne and Jack.

Paul T. Ferrell - Partner

Paul is from Lexington and graduated from Tates Creek High School and the University of Kentucky. He has more than 25 years of insurance experience and is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Paul is a retired Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, a member of First United Methodist Church, and past president of the Lexington Lions Club and the Independent Insurance Agents of Lexington. He and his wife, Laura, have two children, Taylor and Kalin.

James H. Martin, CPA, CIC -

Jim is a Lexington native and graduate of the University of Kentucky. His background in public accounting involved accounting/taxation services to the construction industry. While his specialty is surety, he is also a full-service provider of all insurance products and is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Jim is active in many construction-related organizations. He is married to Lori Chiara and has three children, Hannah, Haley and Ross.

John Coody - Associate

John is a 1999 graduate of Asbury College. He has a decade of experience in the insurance industry and has earned the CPIA (Certified Professional Insurance Agent) designation. He is active with both the Greater Lexington and Jessamine County Chambers of Commerce and is a member of the Nicholasville Rotary, Toastmasters, TNT and Southland Christian Church. He particularly enjoys spending time with his son, Jacob.

Dorothy Link - Receptionist

Dorothy is originally from Chicago, Illinois. In her early days she was the singer with a touring band and she still enjoys travel. She has been with our office for almost 25 years. Dorothy is married to R.F. Link and has two children, Cynthia and Stephen.

Mary Kiihn - Client Service Representative - Personal Lines

Mary is originally from Warren, Pennsylvania. She has 32 years of insurance experience and has earned a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. She is a member of The Grace Baptist Church. She and her husband, Don, have two daughters, Marla and Jona, and 5 grandchildren. Mary and Don live in Winchester, Kentucky.

Theresa Richardson - Client Service Representative - Commerical Lines

Theresa is originally from Louisville, KY. She has over 25 years of experience in both company and agency operations and has earned both the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Underwriting professional designations. She is past president of the Bluegrass CPCU chapter, and is active in Aikkido with her husband David, and children, James & Erica.

Sarah House - Client Service Representative - Commerical Lines

Sarah is originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area and moved to Kentucky after she graduated from Kent State University. She has been in the insurance industry since 2000 and holds a Property and Casualty License and has earned the Property Risk Insurance Specialist designation. Sarah and her husband Scott enjoy traveling and attending concerts.

Joe Evans - Associate

Joe is a native of Lexington and is a graduate of P. L. Dunbar High School and DePauw University where he lettered in both Cross Country and Track. In addition to his work at Cambridge insurance he serves as an assistant coach of the Dunbar Cross Country Team. He is also a member of Second Presbyterian Church and a University of Kentucky Fellow.

Peggy Barnes - Marketing

Peggy is originally from Benton, KY, and has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. She is a licensed Property and Casualty Agent and holds designation as an Accredited Advisor of Insurance, Certified Professional Insurance Woman and a Diversified Advanced Education Designee. She is an active member of the Blue Grass Association of Insurance Women and the Kentucky Federation of Woman’s Club and will be serving as the State President from 2012-2014. Peggy is married to Joe Barnes and they have one son Dustin Hall.

Haley Gray - Associate

Haley is originally from Lexington, Indiana and is a graduate of Southwestern High School and Centre College where she lettered in both Cross Country and Track, majored in Government, minored in Political Economy and International Relations and was a Resident Assistant. In her free time she enjoys running and cooking.

Kyle Hatchett - Associate

Kyle is originally from Winchester, Tennessee where he grew up working part-time at his father's insurance agency. He graduated from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee before moving to Lexington to court his fiancée, Diana, a graduate student at the University of Kentucky. Kyle is a member of Providence Community Church, where he assists in the music ministry and teaches children's Sunday School.
