Joe is originally from Frankfort, KY and has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is a graduate of the University of KY in 1978. Holding a property and casualty license with the Accredited Advisor of Insurance designation. He has been involved in the production and growth of several agencies during his carrier. His knowledge and expertise have granted him the opportunity to serve on several company advisory councils as well as agent councils over the years. He has also served on two Governor’s Task Forces for Small Business and Auto Insurance. During his tenure and term as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of KY 2001-2002 he was instrumental in writing, lobbying, and eventually seeing House Bill 319 become part of the Kentucky Insurance Code of Law. Joe is married to Peggy Barnes and they have one son.
